WHO WE ARE
Since the first presentation given to 50 women, Stand Up For Your Sister has grown into an established workshop. The organization’s Executive Director, Staci Gann, has presented at over 30 sorority chapters, founders day events, and is scheduled at mental health awareness weeks. She has been invited to give the workshop to Division 1 Athletic Teams as well as in residence halls. Over 10,000 women have been empowered by this presentation, and our heart behind Stand Up For Your Sister is for every young woman to be equipped and supported while facing these issues.
"1 out of every 4 college students suffers from some form of mental illness"
"19 percent of young people in the U.S. either Contemplate or attempt suicide every year"
"75 percent of college students do not seek help for mental health problems"
These are not just numbers thrown on some webpage. Each number is an individual life: a real, unique story filled with both triumphs and struggles, laughter and sorrow. Together we can change these numbers, break down the stigmas surrounding such issues, and create a world of bold women ready to live authentically and love unconditionally.
